Things to do in Bang Por Beach

While Bang Por Beach may be a quiet part of Koh Samui, that doesn’t mean there is nothing to do around here. Your options are plentiful and there’s something for everyone in and around Bang Por. So, if you are looking for some inspiration for what to do while visiting Bang Por, here are just a few ideas for you.

Enjoy the magnificent sunsets on the beach

Sunsets at Bang Por Beach are a real highlight. It’s here that you’ll enjoy some of the best sunset views of Koh Samui. The peaceful beach strip stretches over 4km, from the north-west corner of the island all the way to Ban Tai.

It doesn’t really matter where you are on the beach, you are pretty much guaranteed a magnificent view. However, as Ban Tai Beach reaches a little further into the ocean, it allows for a slightly better view during sunset. Ban Tai Beach is a wonderfully quiet place to enjoy a picnic in the afternoon or, for something a little more fancy, a romantic dinner on the deck of Sea&Sky Beach Restaurant.

Snorkelling On The Palm-Fringed Shore

The beach at Bang Por is very shallow, which makes it a great spot to grab your snorkel, walk out into the Gulf of Thailand and explore the underwater world. It’s great for children, too, as they can run around here freely and safely. But regardless of whether you are travelling with kids or not, Bang Por Beach is a great spot for some snorkel time.

Don’t have a snorkel? Don’t worry, you can simply purchase one at the local shops and pharmacies.

Private Yoga Sessions On The Beach

If yoga is your thing, you have come to the right place. Many great yoga teachers live in Koh Samui and you can find a bunch of yoga studios in all corners of the island.

For a private yoga session on Bang Por Beach, simply contact one of the local studios or teachers to book a time. To escape the heat, especially in the hotter season, we suggest you book your session early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Alternatively, grab a tuk tuk and visit one of these great yoga studios not far from Bang Por.
